I am sitting here pondering what to write…my goal in writing this blog has always been to write something of value and benefit. My prayer has been that what I share is truthful and not full of platitudes and fluff… that it is real.

Additionally, I want to make my reader think, be moved, to see God in the simplest things, but also to find time to smile. Today like many days, I have numerous ideas but just can’t formulate a post that will be of value to you, dear reader.

With this in mind, I am reminded of this silly cartoon. She has a sense of humor like me…

Hope that made you smile.

So today’s post so far is filled with a little silliness… and hopefully, in the end, I will find my voice.

It’s raining. Does that provide me a kernel of wisdom? …. apparently not.

Now that looks like me! No, not the outfit, the fingerpainting!

The past couple of days I have been trying to make a 3D Multimedia Sandcrab. I have Modge Podge, glue, sand, shells, etc. stuck to my fingers.

I’d share a photo of what I have done so far with you but you’d cry! At this point, it’s a mess, but that is how most of my projects start out.

First, it’s an idea, I gather my supplies, then I finally try to create what is in my mind’s eye… slowly it comes to fruition. Building upon it.

I’ve learned that if I don’t prep the wood or canvas properly, the paint or multimedia does not stick well. If I am impatient and don’t let it dry properly colors will blend improperly, the paint may peel, and the end product is not presentable.

Most of my projects are on wood. WHY?

If I make a mistake, I can sand it and start over; thus making it presentable.

Just like my relationship with Christ… I make mistakes, but He sands them away… a clean slate…

Because I am forgiven.

…I’ll forever wipe the slate clean of their sins. Once sins are taken care of for good, there’s no longer any need to offer sacrifices for them. So, friends, we can now – without hesitation – walk right up to God, into “the Holy Place.” Jesus has cleared the way by the blood of His sacrifice, acting as our priest before God. The “curtain” into God’s presence is His body. So let’s do it – full of belief, confident that we’re presentable inside and out. Let’s keep a firm grip on the promises that keep us going. He always keeps his word.  (Hebrews 10:17-27)

WOW! What a Word from God!

He “sands away my sins and makes me presentable to Him.

Fortunately, the outcome is so much better than one of my “artistic creations”!!

What a great God I serve!

Rejoice with me! (Duplicate post)
