Happy Mother’s Day!
For some this is a day filled with family and great joy; for others it can be painful…
You may have lost your Mom or you may have never known her. Sadly you may even be estranged…
You may have tried to have children but could not or through illness or tragedy you may have lost your child.
So today can be tough for many of you… and for YOU my heart is filled with prayers.
Our pastor today was extremely sensitive to the various family dynamics people could be facing today. His closing remarks were filled with great hope. No matter what one’s situation is, we are loved by The Almighty and He wants a relationship with each of us.
If we know Christ we are a part of His family; we are part of the Body of Christ. How reassuring!!
Do you know Christ’s love? Is He a part of your very being? If not, reach out to Him, get to know Him. He gave His life for you because HE LOVES YOU!!
If today you find painful emotions creeping into your heart, take a deep breath, fill your lungs with the very oxygen of life… the very breath of Christ. Go outside, enjoy the beauty of God’s world, visit with a friend, call someone you know who may be finding today painful… focus on the good, focus on others and let the heavy fog be lifted.
For me, today is filled with mixed emotions. Mom went to be with The Lord in 1990!! So hard to believe it has been that long. I have so many wonderful memories of her… she was filled with laughter and love. I am blessed to be the mother of 2 fine young men and 5 beautiful grandchildren.
Lord, I pray for each person reading this post. May they be surrounded with your love and comfort.
Rejoice!
Blessings, Susan

Do you know of someone who might benefit from reading this or another one of my writings about our Lord?
For me this year is the hardest. My mom passed away eight years ago and its tough this year then any year. I guess because I am facing challenges and she always had a word of wisdom to direct me. Missing her a lot today.
