Is it a WHAT or WHO that Defines YOU?

Let your roots grow down into Him and draw up nourishment from Him. See that you go on growing in the Lord, and become strong and vigorous in the truth you were taught. Let your lives overflow with joy and thanksgiving for all He has done. ~ Colossians 2:7
Living Bible (TLB)

You can’t let your circumstances define who you are. You have to determine for yourself who you are AND who you are in Christ. ~

Finding your way through to the other side of the pain…Emotional pain can be such an uphill battle that one can get stuck and unable to move.

I look back on tragedies that have occurred in my life and I can now see at times I became paralyzed. I was barely able to take a step forward. My entire life was focused on my pain. It was not until I allowed Christ to carry me through the situation did I begin to cope and then heal.

Coping and healing did NOT mean the circumstances had changed!!

It was my response that did.

What is defining you?

Your situation?

Your reaction to it?

Is your reaction based on your emotions?

Allow Christ to minister to you and walk you through the fire.

For many walking THROUGH the fire does not mean the flames will be quenched.

Death of a loved one.

Unchangable circumstances.

I encourage you to choose Christ. Choose His Comfort.

Let HIM define who you are…not your circumstances.
