People see God every day, they just don’t recognize Him. -Pearl Bailey
Did you see God today?
He saw you.
He saw me.
As I reflect on my day I ask myself where, when did I see God? It really was a mundane day…up early, down to the hotel lobby and get breakfast to go, drive to work, 10 hours in front of computer, leave work, dinner…
During this ordinary monotone day I still saw Him…when the sun came up, when I saw the hills, when I tripped and didn’t fall, when I laughed with friends…God was there even in the simplest times.
I do not have to have a parting of the sea experience every day to know God is involved with every aspect of my life.
For the director of music. Of David. A psalm.
1 You have searched me, Lord,
and you know me.
2 You know when I sit and when I rise;
you perceive my thoughts from afar.
3 You discern my going out and my lying down;
you are familiar with all my ways.
4 Before a word is on my tongue
you, Lord, know it completely.
5 You hem me in behind and before,
and you lay your hand upon me.
6 Such knowledge is too wonderful for me,
too lofty for me to attain.
7 Where can I go from your Spirit?
How comforting it is to know God has always been and will always be with me…in my comings and my goings.
Take the time today to rejoice in God’s ever present love and mercy.
