Working in California and living in Florida over the last two months has been a challenge. I feel so blessed to have a good job but miss my personal time…time with husband (I just hate leaving him at home each week!!), family, friends…just time to do nothing…time to write…time…it just keeps clicking away.
BUT…on the road I have met some of the most interesting people. While in California I met a gracious Christian lady in a grocery store! I am working with some wonderful Christians…what an honor to be free to pray with one another!
Many of you know that as I sit down in my assigned airplane seat each week, I have prayed that God will use me…that God will put me in the right seat, next to the right person that I can be used of God.
The other day on the plane I sat next to just the exact person God wanted to send a message…a lady named Tracy…what a woman of faith!! She shared with me a portion of her life’s journey. Not wanting to breach any confidence, I will only say…her family needs our prayers.
We spoke while the plane loaded and waited to take off. I had changed seats the night before, as had she. I was at the window and she had a aisle seat. A full plane…but by the grace of God…our middle seat was empty. Don’t tell me this was a coincidence!
Our conversation was not long, considering we were on a 5 hour flight.
When we landed I overheard her calling her husband. One of the first things she said was that she had met a lady on the flight. She went on to say that I had ministered to her and that what I shared was just what she needed to hear from God.
THANK YOU, LORD!!
This is not about me, this is about HIM. Being used of God.
And if Tracy ever reads this, please know that you and your family continue to be in my prayers!
I really should not be amazed at His ability to put this all together.
Another flight I was again in the window seat…a missionary was in the aisle seat…we briefly shared the Gospel before take off…was it a coincidence that there was a man in the middle seat? I don’t think so. Just think of the seeds of faith we had an opportunity to plant!!
So…although I have not been busy “blogging” … I have been busy sharing my faith. I think I have my priorities straight.
ALSO…I’ve been invited to speak in October in Georgia. I will be posting more about this soon.
