My face hurts.
My cheeks are killing me.
My heart feels like it’s about to explode.
Last night our three-year-old twin granddaughters participated in their school’s “Christmas Concert.”
Jesus Love the Little Children never sounded so sweet.
My smile was so big my face actually hurt by the time they finished singing.
The church was full of family and friends of the little performers.
Sisters and brothers.
Cousins and friends.
All proud of their sweet child up on the stage.
But no one could have been more proud than my husband and myself.
I texted my son and his wife today.
Grandchildren are the crown of the aged, and the glory of children are their fathers and mothers
Paraphrased – Proverbs 17:6 (ESV)
And I can attest to this truth!!
Children are a gift from the Lord; they are a reward from Him.
Psalm 125:3 (NLT)
Prayer ~ Thank you, Lord, for the gift of our children and grandchildren. Thank you for entrusting us with these precious little ones.
And, Lord, I know that not all of those reading this blog today have children…some have experienced a tragedy and painful loss while there are those who want children and cannot. I ask you Lord to wrap your loving arms around them and comfort them.
Father God, I know there are readers that have children and at this moment are so overwhelmed with the busyness of life that they cannot find the time to enjoy the simple moments with their little one.
Lord God, only you know what is going on in the lives of my dear readers…and so, Lord, I ask you to meet them where they are, let them know at this very moment you love them and that you will walk beside them as they go through life’s journey. And, Lord, when we can no long put a foot forward, I know you will carry us in your loving arm. You have done this for me and i am confident, Father God, you will for my readers. AMEN
As for me…I am looking forward to more cheek hurting moments!!
