Wait & See

I had to take our cat, Motorboat, to the Vet today as he was coughing nonstop!

We learned last year that he had the antibodies for Heart-worms. There really is no treatment for them in cats…so it was just wait and see.

His lungs today sounded congested…not good. Then he provided the Vet with a great coughing demo. Hmmm…asthma? Pneumonia? The heart-worms?

After a chest x-ray we didn’t know any more than before. Hmmm…I think that’s why medicine is called an art. Now don’t get me wrong, we have a great Vet and he could have done a battery of tests…but why?

“Let’s wait and see,” said our physician.

Motty, as we like to call the cat, is now on prednisone and an antibiotic. It’s a wait and see game.

Wait & See

That describes so much of my life!! “Wait & See!”

And as much as I try to act all patient and “I’ve got it together”…I am not always good at “waiting”.

Waiting for news (good or bad), waiting for a holiday, waiting for a healing, waiting for a project to be completed…all can be challenging. For me waiting can only be done well when I rely on God.

What kind of Waiting Room are you in today?

Wait on the Lord : be of good courage, and He shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the Lord. (Psalms 27:14 KJV)

My neighbor’s daughter is being treated for Leukemia…now that’s a tough waiting room. A friend just lost her husband and another neighbor fell and hurt her ankle. Each in a different type of waiting room…each of them needing to rely on Christ.

Dear Reader, if you are in such a room…

Be of good courage, and He shall strengthen your heart, all ye that hope in the Lord. (Psalms 31:24 KJV)
