Action not just words

While waiting at the gate for my next flight the person next to me started up a conversation with me.

They led me to believe they were a kind and benevolent person.

BUT….

Then I boarded the plane.

I was already seated when they arrived to their row. The overhead bin above their row was full. You would have thought this was a very serious situation. Their luggage would need to be placed in a bin 3 rows back.

Now I understand how hard it is to swim upstream for your baggage, but this was a final destination for all of us. So it wasn’t as if this inconvenience was going to make this person miss a connecting flight.

Tantrum.

Seriously, they had a little tantrum.

Everyone was rolling their eyes, shaking their heads and some were even whispering to their row buddy.

I for one was disappointed.

My original opinion was based on what I was told by this person, but now I was able to see their actions…and those actions spoke volumes!!

We can say all we want to people, but it is how we behave in stressful or even everyday situations that our real inner self is revealed.

My prayer this week is that my actions reveal my love for Christ and that I remember I may be the only “Bible” people ever read.
Blessings, Susan
