A study in black & white

I never cease to be amazed at the majestic beauty God has created. Even in black & white this world is magnificent.

He will be like a tree planted by water: it sends its roots out toward a stream, it doesn’t fear when heat comes, and its foliage remains green. It will not worry in a year of drought or cease producing fruit. Jeremiah 17:8 (HCS)

He is like a tree planted by streams of water that yields its fruit in its season, and its leaf does not wither. In all that He does, He prospers. Psalm 1:3 (ESV)

Life is not always black and white.

There are many aspects of life that are black and white. To gossip or not…to shoplift or not…to break a promise or not…to lie or not…to hurt someone or not…these are black and white decisions.

It is the gray areas that are difficult. To take a job or not…am I helping or enabling…to buy something I want, but don’t need…to attend this church or that…the list goes on and on.

What do we do about the grays?

One gray area I find friends and readers frequently ask about is “Finding their Passion.” God doesn’t provide us with a billboard message telling us what His plan is for us…but He does tell us. We just need to know how to hear Him.

That is why I am writing a book on how to find your passion in life. A daily devotional workbook on the subject.

The working title is “Who is MƎ?”

My goal is to help you find what God’s plan is for your life.

God wants to be involved in the big and little details of our lives. He wants to help you with the grays…

Be cheerful no matter what; pray all the time; thank God no matter what happens. This is the way God wants you who belong to Christ Jesus to live. 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 (MSG)

Blessings, Susan
