Urgent Prayer Request

None of us knows what to expect on the next step of this journey called Life. Will it be a rose or weed we will come across? For my friend, “K” it looks like some weeds are in his path.

My friend’s husband has Mantle Cell Lymphoma. Last year his treatment put him into remission. We were so thankful.

But that evil disease returned…not discouraged he began a new treatment. Once this new protocol worked he was to have a bone marrow transplant. They had found the perfect match.

Now you understand why I feel so strongly about being a part of the registry. His match is a 23 year old young lady and he has children her age!

But Monday his transplant was cancelled. You see his PET Scan from last week showed the treatment had little affect on his lymphoma.

Now he is seeking new plans.

I discovered John Bird, MD along with his colleagues at Ohio State University have discovered a breakthrough treatment. 68% responded to ibrutinib, meaning they started to get better. That included 21% who had a complete response, in whom all signs of the cancer disappeared.

Did you see those numbers?!?!?!

These success rates are why it is being fast tracked through the FDA.

But even with it going the route, it won’t be available until near the end of the year. A long time when you are fighting this disease.

So dear readers, first and foremost pray for my friend “K” and his family.

Second, if by some miracle you are involved in the treatment and / cure of Mantle Cell Lymphoma PLEASE contact me ASAP. Or if you know of anything that could help him it would be greatly appreciated.

My God, our God is a God of miracles!!!! Perhaps you can be a part of this miracle.
Blessings, Susan
