Frequently I read inspirational quotes before I go to sleep. The app I use has a wide variety of sayings from ancient philosophers to present day celebrities to beautiful Scriptures. Recently a quote attributed to Winston Churchill caught my eye:
“Courage is going from failure to failure without losing enthusiasm.”
Do you ever find the depth of your enthusiasm affecting your level of success?
Charles Schwab, the second largest steel maker said:
A person can succeed at almost anything for which they have unlimited enthusiasm.
What do we do when we have lost our enthusiasm or passion?
Gordon Parks, an American photographer, musician, writer and film director, knew an answer:
“Enthusiasm is the electricity of life. How do you get it? You act enthusiastic until you make it a habit.”
We all have failed at one time or another. If we can keep our enthusiasm we will eventually see success…it may be way off on the horizon, but it’s there.
Have you lost your passion and enthusiasm for something that once was a bright light in your life? Has the candle of enthusiasm grown dim? Has the picture become clouded?
Peel back the layers of confusion, fear, and doubt. And when you can’t, reach out to your fellow Christians to hold your hand, walk with you, and to take on the responsibility to pray for you when you cannot.
See what is revealed when you strip away your doubts, despair, and uncertainty.
Look at the photos below. Notice as the layers of confusion are peeled away the picture begins to become clearer.
When we lay our lives down before God, He will help us see things in a new light. A new perspective.
God tells us in Isaiah 41:13 (NAS) “For I am the LORD your God, who upholds your right hand, Who says to you, ‘Do not fear, I will help you.
Allow Him to help you.
This week doubts entered into my mind and clouded a situation. It was through the prayers and wise counsel of friends and family that I was able to look beyond that cloud and to see Christ.
There are times that we will “WISH” we had a renewed intense zeal for a part of our life story.
But we need to do more than just wishing for something.
Have a hope and faith in Christ.
Find time for your passion. Don’t just “wish” you could do it…do it!!!
Dear friend, BE COURAGEOUS! Peel away your fears and doubts and find your passion.
