Direct their Path

Yesterday I shared that two of our grandchildren are visiting us for the weekend. This afternoon at lunch the 5 year old volunteered to say grace. A tear came to my eye when he thanked God for the fun time he was having and for God allowing him and his ‘Sissy’ to visit Nana and Papa.

This was especially sweet as last night when I went to tuck him in i found him quietly starting to cry. This is the first time he’s stayed with us overnight. He lives about 2 1/2 hours away.

As soon as ‘Sissy’ heard he was crying she was at his side. All three of us laid there in bed with the 5 year old sandwiched between us. We held his hands, sang songs, I told stories and soon all was well in his little world.

Last night I was so very proud of my granddaughter going to her brother’s side and then to hear his sweet prayer today…Wow!!

Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.
Proverbs 22:6 (KJV)

The Word shapes us, shows us how to live. Good job, I say to their parents!

Keep directing their paths toward Christ.
P – Pray for and with your children
R – Reveal what God has done in your life
A – Actions speak louder than words
Y – You are the parent!! Act like it. The responsibility can seem overwhelming, but the reward is great.

Blessings, Susan
