Trusting Him

I just received a text alert that one of the local middle schools in my hometown is on lockdown – suspicious gunman.

Taking a moment to pray for those kids and all involved I spoke to God about how our world seems out of control.

I opened my Bible app searching for a Word from Him and the verse for the day was…

Now that we know what we have—Jesus, this great High Priest with ready access to God—let’s not let it slip through our fingers. We don’t have a priest who is out of touch with our reality. He’s been through weakness and testing, experienced it all—all but the sin. So let’s walk right up to him and get what he is so ready to give. Take the mercy, accept the help. (Hebrews 4:14-16 MSG)

Oh what comfort! I’ve walked right up to Him. I’ve made my request known. I can return to work knowing He is in control.

Blessings, Susan

  1. Met you with Jesus this morning praying and thanking Abba for being there at the school and in the neighborhood of homes and with teachers watching over the children, the parents, and the police officers…and for Father to touch the heart of the gunman who need’s Jesus the most.
