Last night I stayed at a really cool bed-and-breakfast as I could not find a hotel room at such short notice.
it’s was a lovely three-story brick and marble mansion surrounded by what I’ve been told are Irish gardens.
My room was on the 3rd floor. Outside of my bay window was this unique tree. Or should I say unique to me?! I’m from Florida and all I know are Palm Trees and dollar weed.
Peering through the glass I took a picture of the tree. No, that didn’t capture the essence of the unusual grape-like flower. Zoom, flash, no flash… Still just not it.
I ventured outside confident if I was up close and personal I’d get just the right lighting and be able to share the photo with friends and family. Again, no.
Granted, I’m using my iPhone so that could be half the problem; however, I’m frequently successful with it’s camera
So, what’s up? Honestly I don’t know.
But this got me thinking.
I can see my relationship with Christ with clarity, but sometimes when I go to share Him with others I just don’t seem to provide a clear and definite picture.
Am I living a life that others see Him in me?
Oh, I pray so.
Do I reflect Him in my everyday activities?
Probably not.
Then this afternoon my client (I’m a consultant in real life) spoke of how I shared about the power of prayer when I was on site 3 months ago.
Hmmm…I did?
Thank you, Lord, for that assurance.
No, I don’t get it right all the time. The lighting may not be that good or I may be out of focus…but my God works it out!! He knows my heart.
Put yourselves to the test and judge yourselves, to find out whether you are living in faith. Surely you know that Christ Jesus is in you?–(2 Corinthians 13:5a GNTD)
So I challenge you…I challenge me…Are we living out our faith? If not, why not and what can we do to change that?
Blessings, Susan

Thanks. That was the coolest tree. I just love how God uses the simplest things to teach me.
