Things are not always as they seem.
I recently joined a photo club. They had a May event called May flowers up close and personal.
I submitted the following:
Only the last one is not ‘photoshopped’.
In our everyday lives we need to ensure what we hear and read has not been ‘photoshopped’!
We need to ask God for discernment; in making large and small decisions, in relationships, and especially in Biblical teachings no matter who or what is the source.
How can we do this?
First we need to seek God’s Word for guidance.
Read His Word to “fact check” teachings…it is our responsibility to dig and not be passive followers of Christ.
Ask God for Him to allow you to see and know the truth…ask for Wisdom.
The Bible is our Standard…in its totality. We cannot pick and chose what fits the moment. Examine the Scripture for yourself so that you know the truth.
And here’s why: God gives out Wisdom free, is plainspoken in Knowledge and Understanding. He’s a rich mine of Common Sense for those who live well, a personal bodyguard to the candid and sincere. He keeps his eye on all who live honestly, and pays special attention to his loyally committed ones. (Proverbs 2:6-8 MSG)
Blessings, Susan
Thank you Susan. Your picture is beautiful. (Lynne – book club)
