Missing What’s Around You

If you’re like me, you may be missing the beauty that surrounds you.

My husband and I love to go wherever there is water…a beach, a river, a lake, even a puddle. Okay, I’m kidding about the puddle!!

This past weekend we went just south of our home to Stuart, FL to visit one of our sons and his family. As usual, I took pictures as I exclaimed at how beautiful the area was.

Today as I looked back at those photos and several others from various vacation spots, I realized I don’t see the beauty of where I live.

We really live in a lovely part of Florida…Daytona Beach area.

I don’t appreciate it like I should.

I believe at times we are all blind to our surroundings and its beauty.

We have been blessed to visit beautiful places that God created…We’ve enjoyed these scenes…but I need to be thankful for where I am….for I am truly blessed.

God saw all that he had made, and it was very good. And there was evening, and there was morning—the sixth day. (Genesis 1:31 NIV)

Lord, I pray that I daily appreciate the beauty of the surroundings you created.

This is a shout out to Ann and her family…we are praising God your surgery was a success today.

Blessings, Susan
