Life consists not in holding good cards, but in playing those cards you hold well.
~ Josh Billings
53 DAYS!! It has been days since I have blogged!! Family and personal illness, work, obstacles and challenges have prevented me from blogging…but although my cards have not been so good…I’m trying to play them well! Or at least play them!
Today I read another great quote written by Denis Waitly, an American motivational speaker and author.
Life is inherently risky. There is only one big risk you should avoid at all costs, and that is the risk of doing nothing.
I have seen this in action with our kids and their wives this year…taking steps – risky steps to not just dream of success, but put their dreams into action. Additionally my best friend’s daughter just stepped out of her comfort zone – moved and started a new life in a new state. Each of these young people I am so proud! Putting their faith in God and living their dreams.
Yes, they may not have liked the cards they were holding, but they are playing them so well – thus resulting in holding a winning hand.
What are you doing with the hand you hold? Together let’s play the hand we were dealt…and play it well.
