It is the middle of the night, but I can’t sleep…my cup runneth over with joy and thanksgiving.
Twice this year we have had the opportunity to see our sons study hard and pass the state exams in their respective fields. The joy we felt when they called telling us of their results is indescribable. We received the “I passed!” call last night from our oldest son.
As a parent we only want the very best for our children and are so pleased when they succeed. With this in mind, I’ve been thinking about God looking at our lives. Which of my actions and thoughts make God’s cup runneth over? Did He say well done my good and faithful servant about me yesterday? Will he say that about me today? About you?
The master in the Matthew 25: 14-30 parable to the servant, ‘Good work! You did your job well. From now on be my partner.’ The servant had been faithful with the wealth the master had entrusted him.
God’s partner! What a beautiful picture!
I pray that you, dear reader, partner with me in partnering with our Heavenly Father. Today let us serve Him intentionally. We have received His all; let us give Him our all.
